baby katie rants!

I am a 25 year old female who works at a museum. I live close to nyc. I like to discover new music, to endlessly desire to perform at open mic (anyone want to play guitar for me???), walk aimlessly in the city, and sometimes watercolor. Love: Amelie, The Kills, gnomes (all varieties), and museums. Likes: Orange colored skies, showers after the beach, and 1960s haircuts. Hates: parallel parking, split ends, and my phone.

One the best things about FNO and Fashion Week or just walking around NYC on a regular day is the street fashion.  Stores at FNO were smart to have taking photographs of their visitors a major attraction because everyone wants to be seen and/or capture great examples of street style to modify into her own wardrobe.  This was seen at DVF and Maybelline and they made it even more interactive by posting everything online.

Just off California’s Hwy 1 in the heart of Big Sur is one of our most favorite and inspiring establishments, the Big Sur Bakery. Incredible breads and pastries in the morning, and delicious, local fare for dinner. More info and better photos here.

I’d like to be there right now.

OMG Dana! Abby and I ate here when we went to Big Sur.  It was one of the best meals of my life.

I wish I could tell all the people that wait outside Carlo’s Bakery every day for hours that there is a much better bakery 2 blocks away with no line and way better baked goods. Just no “Cake Boss;” but I think that’s for the better.

Totally agree.

brian2000 asked: love your theme, might have to adopt it.

Thanks! go for it.  i think it is a basic template from tumblr.  i did nothing to it.

Skeeball

I really want to join a skeeball league.  Apparently, there is one at Full Circle in Williamsburg, which I have been to several times.  However, it started in May.  Ah! Wish there was skeeball in Hoboken.

I met a guy last weekend and felt like I was briefly in My Girl.  It was nice to act silly for awhile and not act my age.
